Legal Technology and the Rule of Law

‘Lawtech’ or legal technology is changing the face of legal practice and academia. The conference created a platform for legal academics, practitioners, students and the public to exchange perspectives on the challenges and benefits of digital technology in the legal regulation and justice.

The event brought together expert speakers from industry, the judiciary and academia to discuss the implications of digital technologies like Blockchain and AI (artificial intelligence) for the rule of law. The rule of law refers to the integrity of the justice system and effectiveness of laws and regulation.
