The Disability Support Service (DSS) provides support for students with a wide range of disabilities, including:
- Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) / Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Autism
- Blind / Vision Impairment
- Deaf / Hard of Hearing
- Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) – Dyspraxia / Dysgraphia
- Mental Health Difficulties
- Neurological Conditions (including Epilepsy & Brain Injury)
- Physical Disabilities
- Significant Ongoing Illness
- Specific Learning Difficulties (including Dyslexia & Dyscalculia)
- Speech and Language Communication Disorders
Support Services Available
The Disability Support Service (DSS) offers a range of supports, including:
- Disability Access Route to Education (DARE)
- Individual and group learning support
- Dyslexia screening
- Assistive technology training
- Alternative formatting
- Exam supports
- Note takers
- Personal assistance
Each student’s needs are assessed individually to determine the most appropriate support based on their specific requirements.
