Dr Don Faller – Dean of Faculty, Science and Health (Athlone Campus)

Before being appointed Dean of Faculty, Don lectured in Pharmacology and Biochemistry within the Department of Life and Physical Sciences between 1993 and 2009, and served as Head of that Department between 2009 and 2014.
Frances O’Connell – Vice President, Student Education and Experience

Frances has held several senior management roles in the public and private sectors and her current remit includes Student Affairs and Services, Library Services, Teaching and Learning, Student Transition and Success and Student Societies in TUS.
Dr James Griffin – Dean of Faculty, Business and Humanities

James is responsible for the academic leadership, governance and management of the departments and units under the faculty.
Dr Liam Brown – Vice President, Research, Development and Innovation

Liam has significant public and private sector experience in the strategic development and operational management of research, development, innovation, community and enterprise engagement.
His specific focus is on activities that make a difference to society, foster creativity and entrepreneurship and shape the entrepreneurs of the future.
Dr Lisa Moran – Dean of Graduate Studies and Head of the Graduate School

Lisa began her lecturing and research career with roles at the University of Galway, Teagasc and Edge Hill University (UK), where she was a Senior Lecturer, and at South East Technological University (SETU), where she was a Head of Department.
Dr Maria Kyne – Vice President, Academic Affairs and Registrar

Maria was previously the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of Engineers Ireland, having worked as a civil engineer for more than 30 years.
Dr Maura Clancy – Dean of Faculty, Applied Sciences and Technology (Midwest Campuses)

Maura brings extensive experience in academic leadership, programme development and cross-sector collaboration. In addition to her role as Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, she is also Director of Progression Pathways.
Dr Michael Tobin – Dean of Faculty, Continuing, Professional, Online and Distance Learning

Dr Michael Tobin is the Dean of the Faculty of Continuing, Professional, Online, and Distance Learning at Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), where he oversees the design and delivery of academic programmes, research initiatives, and the development of online and virtual learning methodologies.
Seadna Ryan – Dean of Faculty, Business and Hospitality

Seadna has held a number of previous roles in TUS including Head of Department of Lifelong Learning, Lecturer in the Department of Business and Management and Lecturer in the Department of Lifelong Learning.
Seamus Hoyne – Dean of Flexible and Work-Based Learning

As Dean of Flexible and Work Based Learning Seamus leads two dynamic teams who work extensively with partners and stakeholders across the region. The Faculty includes the Department of Flexible Learning supports over 1,500 students annually to complete a range of part-time, online and blended programmes and the Careers and Employability Service which supports our students and graduates in work placement, careers advice and engagement with employers.
Dr Seán Lyons – Dean of Faculty, Engineering and Technology (Athlone Campus)

Seán’s role is focused on the academic and operational leadership of an agile and innovative faculty.
He has extensive experience in the manufacturing sector, having worked in various multinational companies including Perlos Oyj, The Tech Group and Bausch & Lomb before returning to academia.
Tony Mahon – Dean of Faculty, Engineering and Technology (Midwest Campuses)

Tony is an experienced engineering academic and industry professional with more than three decades of expertise across higher education, mechanical engineering, automotive design, and organisational leadership. He is responsible for the academic leadership, governance and management of the departments and units within his Faculty.
