Tony is an experienced engineering academic and industry professional with more than three decades of expertise across higher education, mechanical engineering, automotive design, and organisational leadership. He is responsible for the academic leadership, governance and management of the departments and units within his Faculty.
Tony holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Galway and a Master of Science in Advanced Engineering Techniques.
Before transitioning into academia, Tony built significant international industry experience with engineering and automotive organisations in Ireland, Germany, and Japan, including senior design roles with Molex, EDS Köln GmbH, and Yazaki. He has also contributed extensively to university governance, industrial relations, and technological university development initiatives.
