Brief Overview/Project Summary

The ACE project (Alliance for Community and Engagement in European Higher Education) is an Erasmus+ initiative that aims to transform the role of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in community engagement across Europe. The project addresses the increasing need for universities to become more active and play a more strategic role in social engagement and development, particularly in areas of inclusion, sustainability, and social cohesion (community strength.) It has become evident that HEI’s are increasingly being called upon to contribute to social engagement. ACE brings together six European partners to build a peer-learning alliance that will work together to develop practical tools, and support university staff to engage more effectively with their communities
