The Grants and Fees Office is responsible for the administration and collection of student fees payable to the University.

Making a Payment and Retrieving Receipts

All current Apprentice, Undergraduate and Postgraduate students should select the “Online Fee Payment / Receipt for Fees Paid” button above to:

Pay student fees online; or
View and print receipts for fees already paid.

Please note: Online fee payments must be made using a desktop or laptop computer, as the Student Portal does not currently support payments made using a mobile phone.

Important – Payment Security: The Grants and Fees Office will never send an email containing a link requesting payment of student fees. For your security, fee payments should only be made through the University’s official online payment portal.

Important Notice – Students Awaiting SUSI Awards and Maintenance Payments

TUS can only confirm your student status once you have completed your online registration and your status on the student records system is Temporary Registered or Fully Registered.

To avoid delays, it is essential that you complete your online registration for your TUS programme as soon as it opens.

Please note: If you are a student with repeat examinations or you are returning from placement and are due to go before the Autumn Examination Board, there may be delays in the processing of your SUSI grant and maintenance payments. This is because TUS cannot confirm your registration with SUSI until your status on the student records system is Temporary Registered.

Refunds

If you believe you are eligible for a refund, please ensure that your bank details are up to date on your Student Portal. Instructions on how to add or update your bank details are available here.

Important Information

Third-Party Requests and Data Protection

In accordance with data protection regulations, the Grants and Fees Office cannot disclose information relating to a student’s fee account, including outstanding fee balances, to a parent, guardian or other third party without the student’s prior written authorisation. Students may provide authorisation by completing the Third-Party Agreement Form, which is available to download here.

Payment Methods

The Grants and Fees Office does not accept payment by cash or cheque. Any cheques received will be returned to the sender.

Responsibility for Fee Payments

Failure to receive a fee payment notification or fee schedule does not constitute a valid reason for the non-payment of fees. It is each student’s responsibility to be aware of the applicable fee amounts and payment deadlines.

Registration and Payment of Fees

Payment of fees does not constitute registration with the University. Students must complete online registration by the relevant deadline(s) to enable TUS to claim Free Fees funding from the Higher Education Authority (HEA) on their behalf.

Failure to register by the required deadline may result in the student becoming liable for the tuition fee if funding cannot be claimed from the HEA.

Changes or Corrections to Fees

The University reserves the right to amend or correct fees charged to a student where an incorrect fee has been communicated or applied due to human error, inaccurate or incomplete information provided during enrolment or registration, or a change in the student’s circumstances that affects the fees payable.
