Alan Koshy – Bioanalysis and Biotechnology Graduate

Name: Alan Koshy

Course: BSc (Hons) in Bioanalysis and Biotechnology

Brief description of your job: MSc tracking PhD. My research revolves around oxidative stress and whether it can be used as a therapeutic intervention for Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Current studies suggest that oxidative stress, an imbalance between the production of free radicals and the body’s ability to neutralize them, may play a role in the development and growth of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. This project aims to investigate the role of a key antioxidant enzyme found in HL cells and to understand its relationship to Hodgkin’s lymphoma cells.
