What did you most like about your course?
It’s hard to narrow it down because I genuinely loved everything about the course. The modules were engaging, practical, and directly linked to real industry skills. One of the highlights for me was the Digital Speaker Series, which allowed us to hear directly from industry professionals and clearly see how what we were learning in lectures applied to the real world of digital marketing. The sense of community within the Digital Marketing community was incredible. The small class sizes made learning more personal, and both lecturers and students really looked out for one another. The lecturers were not only supportive academically but also genuinely invested in inspiring us and helping us grow both professionally and personally.
Apart from your course, what do you like most about TUS?
Honestly, everything! The atmosphere in TUS is something I hope every student gets to experience. From lecturers to staff like Seán in the library, you were always greeted with a smile and encouragement. There was always someone wishing you luck before an exam or presentation and supporting you through both the good and challenging moments. It truly felt like a community, and without a doubt, it was the best four years of my life.
How has your degree helped you in your career?
The degree gave me so many valuable real-life experiences through projects and practical modules. I had opportunities to volunteer and work with a wide range of industries, which meant that when I graduated, I didn’t just leave with a degree, I left with a strong creative portfolio. This was a huge advantage when applying for jobs and played a key role in helping me secure my current role back home in Donegal.
What advice would you give to someone considering studying this course?
If you’re thinking about studying Digital Marketing at TUS Athlone campus, go for it. If I could go back and do it all again, I absolutely would. The course offers the perfect blend of academic learning and real-world, practical experience, and it truly prepares you for a career in digital marketing.
