Thurles – Education Destination

TUS, Mary Immaculate College Thurles and Tipperary ETB are working together on a new initiative – Thurles – Education Destination. 

This initiative by the three education institutions in Thurles aims to promote the town as a destination for further and higher education. The three institutions will work together to undertake joint marketing activities, exploring and implementing initiatives to enhance the student experience in the town. Collectively the three organisations will engage with the Chamber of Commerce, Tipperary Co Co, Clubs and Societies in the town to look at ways in which through collective action they can continue to develop the social and cultural experience of the students in the town. This working group builds on existing collaborations that occur between the organisations.

Thurles boosts excellent transport links, cost effective accommodation and each of the education institutions are dedicated to delivering high quality education in a friendly and accessible environment.

Already the initiative has organised a Bogathon event where students from TUS, MIC and Tipperary ETB got together for a fund filled but challenging day away at the Bogathon course in Co Laois.
