A fundamental principle of TUS and the Community and Industry Scholarship Programme is to ensure that all individuals who can benefit from it have access to education. Many people require financial support and systemic assistance beyond mere academic ability to obtain an education. These scholarships address the essential needs of students by providing financial aid, mentorship, and employment opportunities with organisations or individuals committed to their future and community. The presence of highly skilled graduates ready to join the workforce ultimately benefits sponsoring companies, the community, and the local economy, as these graduates have already shown their resolve to succeed.
With the support of our donors over 170 students have received these scholarships since it began in 2014.
