TUS CAO Points Waiver Scheme for Elite Sportspersons
Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) recognises the dedication, commitment, and achievement required to compete at elite and high-performance sporting levels. The TUS CAO Points Waiver Scheme for Elite Sportspersons is designed to support talented athletes who wish to pursue a university education alongside their sporting careers.
The Scheme offers eligible applicants up to a 50-point reduction on the CAO points required for entry to selected full-time undergraduate programmes at TUS. A total of up to 25 places are available each year across all undergraduate programmes for applicants who have demonstrated outstanding sporting achievement and a strong commitment to balancing sport and academic study through a dual-career pathway.
The Scheme is open to CAO applicants who have applied to TUS, meet the minimum academic entry requirements for their chosen programme, and can demonstrate elite or high-performance sporting involvement.
