Mission Statement:
Our mission is to conduct innovative and impactful research that contributes to a deeper understanding of social and lived phenomena and addresses pressing societal challenges. We strive to foster a dynamic and inclusive research environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and the pursuit of excellence.
Research Focus Areas:
Social Care Work and Education: Having recently secured CORU approval for our SCW programmes, research in this area of social science has never been more critical.
Trauma and Burnout: Trauma and Burnout are synonymous with providing services to the most vulnerable in society.
Lived Experiences: No one is more qualified to improve our theoretical and practice understanding than those with first-hand experiences of the phenomena under investigation.
Transformative Education: Here at TUS, we are in the business of educating those who come through our doors. However, education is not always navigational or accessible. Transformative education research will guide us in reaching those who do not have a direct route into higher education.
