We work with companies and organisations that have innovation needs or challenges that TUS’s research community can help with.

We support TUS spin outs based on TUS research.

We work with TUS researchers with novel ideas that have the potential to be turned into new products and services that benefit the world at large.

TUS Intellectual Property Policy

KT Boost 2024-2027

TUS’s Knowledge Transfer and Commercialisation Office is supported by KT Boost co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the ERDF Southern, Eastern & Midland Regional Programme 2021-2027.

KT Boost is a four-year €33.4m knowledge transfer funding programme for Irish universities and technological universities.

Its objective is to support an increase in research commercialisation outcomes from within this sector both regionally and nationally. Its aim is also to develop consistent practices across the knowledge transfer sector.

KT Boost is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union and is managed by Knowledge Transfer Ireland on behalf of Enterprise Ireland and the ERDF.

TUS’s Knowledge Transfer and Commercialisation Office was awarded funding for the four years from 2024 to 2027 under the KT Boost programme.

The KT Boost programme will further the development of the capacity and capability in TUS to support knowledge and technology transfer and associated outcomes, increase knowledge transfer outcomes within the sector and enhance associated operational quality across the sector.

Knowledge Transfer Ireland is the national office responsible for making the process of engaging with public research and of research commercialisation more simple and straightforward. Its mission is to support business and the research base to maximise innovation from State funded research for the benefit of the public and the economy.
