The Runway Returns: Iconic TUS LSAD Fashion Show Makes Comeback After Nine Year Hiatus

Five people and four mannequins are arranged in a line in front of an old stone wall, heavily covered in ivy and bare tree branches, giving a rustic, artistic backdrop. The ground is covered in vibrant green grass. From left to right: A mannequin wearing a long, patterned coat with shades of green and brown over a dark purple garment. A Black woman with dark hair, wearing a light blue long-sleeved top and light blue jeans, stands next to the mannequin. A mannequin dressed in a textured, light brown or grey, form-fitting garment. A young woman with short, dark curly hair, wearing a black long-sleeved dress, stands next to the textured mannequin. A young woman with long, red hair, wearing a white cardigan and a light blue pleated skirt, stands next to a mannequin dressed in an orange skirt and a fluffy dark blue top. This mannequin is placed within a stone archway overgrown with ivy. The red-haired woman appears to be interacting with the mannequin's top. A mannequin wearing a light blue top and a white, sheer skirt with a rough hem. A person with short, light brown hair, wearing a dark green or brown jacket and dark trousers, stands next to the last mannequin. The individuals are looking at the camera or towards the art pieces, and the overall scene appears to be an outdoor fashion or art exhibition.

A young woman with short, dark curly hair and a dark outfit leans against a large tree trunk on the left side of the image, looking towards the camera with a slight smile. She is wearing a black short-sleeved top and wide-leg black trousers, along with dark boots. To the right of the tree, a mannequin displays a unique garment made of what appears to be chainmail or metallic mesh, covering the torso and arms. The mannequin stands on a black base. Behind them, there's a light-colored wall with vibrant graffiti featuring abstract shapes, flowers, and patterns in various colors. A small, rustic sign that says "GENERATION CHANGE" is also visible against the wall. The ground is covered with green grass and small white flowers. The overall scene blends natural elements, urban art, and fashion.

After a nine-year hiatus, the electric energy of the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) Limerick School of Art and Design (LSAD) catwalk is returning to the Treaty City.

The renowned TUS Art and Design school has announced the long-awaited relaunch of the LSAD Fashion Runway Show on Thursday, 14th May 2026.

Last held in 2017, the show has been a staple of Limerick’s cultural calendar. This May, the TUS Clare Street campus will once again transform into a high-fashion hub, highlighting the creativity of a new generation of designers.

The 2026 showcase will celebrate 31 final-year students from the BA Fashion with Pathways programme at Europe’s leading fine art, design and creative media schools. These emerging designers are exploring the future of what we wear – through four pathways – Collection Design, Applied Textiles, Technology for Fashion, and Sustainability for Fashion.

Each student will debut 3–4 original looks, representing months of late nights in the studio and a deep commitment to their work.

Anthony Caleshu, Dean of LSAD at TUS, shares the excitement felt across the campus: “The BA Fashion with Pathways students and the team here at LSAD are extremely excited to launch the LSAD Fashion Show this May. Our last show was in 2017, and we are thrilled to bring it back this year. The final-year students are working incredibly hard on their collections, and we are looking forward to showcasing the exceptional work being created within LSAD to the public and to welcoming them on campus through the historic doors here on Clare Street.”

The event is a celebration of local talent both on and off the runway. In a show of campus synergy, students from the Business Studies with Beauty and Spa Management Department will be backstage providing professional makeup artistry. While students from LSAD Filmcel will be capturing the event.

She is smiling and looking towards the woman on the right, carrying a large, elongated, textured grey fabric sculpture or garment over her shoulder, and a dark, multi-pronged object in her left hand. The woman on the right has long, red hair and is wearing a white long-sleeved top, a vibrant orange skirt, and a light blue undergarment, along with dark shoes. She is also smiling and looking at the woman on the left, carrying a voluminous, fluffy dark blue garment over her arm, and a dark, multi-pronged object similar to the other woman's. In the background, a small stone archway or folly is visible between the trees. The ground is a mix of green grass and patches of yellow-green moss.

The runway will come to life with the expertise of the renowned Holman Lee Model Agency, a name synonymous with Limerick fashion.
