Wellbeing at TUS

Mental wellbeing is an essential part of TUS life, influencing how you think, feel, and cope with challenges. We are committed to supporting your mental health and creating a community where you feel valued, supported, and never alone.

Connect & Belong

As part of the Shine Green Ribbon Campaign, HR Organisational Engagement, Student Counselling, Student Support Services, EDI, Healthy TUS, and colleagues from across TUS hosted a series of staff Tea & Coffee Mornings across our campuses during September.

The mornings provided a valuable opportunity for colleagues to:

  • Connect and catch up with one another.
  • Support positive and open conversations around mental health.
  • Learn more about the Green Ribbon Campaign and contribute to creating a more supportive, inclusive and stigma-free campus community.
  • Find out about supports, training opportunities and upcoming events available through the relevant TUS teams.
  • Meet with Student Counselling and Student Support Services to learn more about the supports available to students, including referral pathways and specialist staff training provided by Counselling.

The Tea & Coffee Mornings offered colleagues an opportunity to take some time out, enjoy a cuppa, connect with others and learn more about the wide range of supports and initiatives available across TUS.

A Guide to Your Employee Assistance Service

Our EAS is available 24/7/365, and offers support to you, a spouse, civil partner or dependent, where the family member can be described as a person over the age of 18 and residing at the family home. You can access the EAS directly from your digital wellbeing platform and mobile app, or via a free telephone helpline, WhatsApp, and SMS. On the platform, you can request a callback and use our live chat facility. This means that we can respond to your needs at any time, no matter where in the world you are.

Types of problems
The EAS can help with a wide variety of problems. Our fully qualified team of counsellors and experts are highly experienced in personal or work related issues, and can support anyone suffering with issues including:
– Depression, anxiety, stress.

– Relationships and marital problems.
– Work stress and work-life balance issues.
– Workplace conflict and communication.

When one of our Case Managers takes an initial call from you, they will become your dedicated Case Manager and the main point of contact for any query or issue you have. They will oversee your case from start to finish. It is available anytime (24/7, 365 days a year) for telephone confidential advice, access to customised online services, specialist information on health & wellbeing and structured counselling.
