When asked about my decision of why I choose Ireland, it is because it is one of my top-most prioritised countries which is a growing hub for multinational companies, especially in fields such as pharmaceuticals as I come from pharma background. I particularly choose Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) because of my Master’s course where I pursued a Master’s in Process Validation and Regulatory Affairs, a course rich in modules of Quality, process validation, regulatory affairs and Auditing.
As an international student at TUS, my experience has been incredibly rewarding. One of my favourite places on campus is the Student Union, where my friends and I gather after class for lunch. It’s more than just a meeting place for us. It’s where we share our day-to-day struggles, accomplishments, and plans.
One of the things I love most about TUS is the unbiased cultural environment. The university ensures that every student, regardless of nationality, feels included and respected. We celebrate various cultural festivals and holidays, giving international students the chance to share their traditions while learning about others. TUS also organizes student trips at discounted rates, which gives us the chance to explore Ireland’s scenic beauty, historic sites, and cultural landmarks. These experiences help students engage with Ireland’s culture while bonding with international students. A particularly memorable moment during my time at TUS was being part of organizing major festivals and events on campus. Getting involved in these activities allowed me to contribute to the vibrant campus life while making new friends.
One of the most significant highlights was being the Host for the TUS Global Podcast. It was a unique opportunity that allowed me to connect with students from various countries, discussing our academic journeys, cultural experiences, and how we have adapted to life at TUS and in Ireland.
