The Midlands’ Dedicated College & Careers Fair

The IGC Midlands College & Careers Fair 2026 will take place on 8 October 2026 at the International Arena, TUS Athlone Campus.

Developed by the Institute of Guidance Counsellors (IGC) in collaboration with Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), Athlone Campus, this new regional event is designed to support informed progression decisions for senior cycle students across the Midlands.

Bringing together higher education institutions, further education providers, apprenticeship organisations and industry representatives from across Ireland, the event will provide students and guidance counsellors with direct access to a comprehensive range of academic and career pathways — all within one central, accessible location.

The IGC Midlands College & Careers Fair is intended to become an annual fixture in the Midlands education calendar, strengthening connections between schools, higher education and industry while supporting students at a key decision-making stage.

Registration is now open for organisations wishing to exhibit and schools wishing to attend.

Higher Education Institutions, Further Education Providers, & Industry Partners

Universities, colleges, further education providers, apprenticeship organisations and industry representatives from across Ireland are invited to register to exhibit at the IGC Midlands College & Careers Fair 2026.

The event provides a dedicated platform to engage directly with senior cycle students from across the Midlands region, as well as guidance counsellors and school groups attending throughout the day.

Exhibiting organisations will have the opportunity to:

  • Showcase academic programmes, training routes and career pathways
  • Connect with prospective applicants at an early decision-making stage
  • Strengthen visibility within a focused regional audience
  • Build relationships with guidance counsellors and school representatives

Guidance Counsellors & Schools

Guidance counsellors are invited to register their school group and select a preferred attendance time slot. School groups can register to attend the event and select a preferred attendance time slot. Further event information and updates will be shared with registered schools in due course.

Designed to support informed progression planning, the event will bring together a diverse range of higher education institutions, further education providers, apprenticeship bodies and industry representatives in one central Midlands location.

Attending schools will benefit from:

The IGC Midlands Fair 2026 is open to:

  • Further Education and Training providers (FETs)

The purpose of the exhibition is to give students direct access to information about careers, courses, apprenticeships, internships, and progression pathways.

Please note: Exhibition stands are strictly by invitation only.

Only organisations invited directly by Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) via email will be allocated a stand.

Organisations wishing to exhibit can complete registration through the exhibitor registration link on this page. Further event information, logistics and exhibitor updates will be shared with registered exhibitors in due course.

Exhibitor pricing is currently being finalised.

Full details, including any associated costs, will be shared directly with invited exhibitors once confirmed.

Guidance counsellors will be asked to make a group booking and select a preferred time slot:

9:15am – 10:45am

11:15am – 12:45pm

1:15pm – 2:45pm

Schools will receive priority access to booking.

Once schools have had sufficient time to secure their preferred session, booking will then open to the general public for individual registrations.

All event registrations, bookings, and ticketing are being managed directly by Technological University of the Shannon (TUS).

This includes:

  • School group bookings
  • Public registrations
  • Exhibitor allocations
  • Ticketing management
  • On-the-day check-in processes
