The programme aims to:

Develop an understanding of strategic risk management frameworks within organisations.
Examine the role of corporate governance in ensuring accountability, transparency, and ethical leadership.
Equip learners with financial decision-making tools used in strategic planning.
Explore the relationship between risk, governance, and financial performance.
Enable learners to apply analytical techniques to support evidence-based organisational decisions.

  • Corporate Governance and Risk Management 

    This module introduces students to the topic of business ethics and corporate governance by covering aspects of moral philosophy, ethics in business, corporate social responsibility and environmental social governance.

    On completion of the module students will develop an understanding of how effective corporate governance facilitates risk management and can be utilised as a source of competitive advantage in business.

    Financial Performance Management 

    The module will introduce the concepts, theories and techniques associated with managing the financial performance of an organisation. The module will explore financial performance management techniques, working capital management, investment appraisal decision making, financing options and integrating financial management into the strategy of an organisation.

  • Minimum Entry Requirements

    Eligible candidates should hold a minimum of a 2.2 Honours Degree (level 8 or equivalent) in any
    discipline or in line with TUS Recognition of Prior Learning Policy.

    In line with university policy, non-native English speakers are required to have an IELTS level of
    6.0 or higher equivalency with the Common European Framework of References for Languages
    (CEFR).

  • This programme will be delivered online though our virtual learning environment.

  • Each 10-credit module normally equates to approximately 200 total learning hours. Total learning hours include the time spent in class, such as lectures, tutorials, and practical elements, as well as time spent working independently outside of college.

    The balance between these varies by discipline and level of study, and learners should be aware that workload will increase at particular times, especially when assignments are due.

  • The programme is assessed through a combination of continuous assessments & project work.
