Click HereThe aim of this programme is to provide an introduction to organisational psychology and to develop the student’s knowledge, skills and competences in the area of organisational psychology. This programme will also equip learners to progress to further academic study in this or related areas.
Introduction to Business Psychology
This module will introduce students to the study of Business Psychology and provide an understanding of areas particularly relevant to the history and evolution of business psychology. It will provide students with an understanding of various perspectives in the workplace.
Psychology of Organisational Leadership and Performance
The aim of this module is to provide an opportunity for students to learn and discuss different leadership theories, and to develop a personal understanding of leadership in an organisational context. The essential knowledge, skills, and abilities of effective leaders are examined, such as managing conflict, facilitating communication, and leading groups and teams, leading change and performance and investing in the emotional development of their people.
Minimum Entry Requirements
Mature Applicants (i.e over 23 years)
or
Leaving Certificate Grade O6 at ordinary level in five subjects in the leaving certificate. Two of these subjects must be mathematics and a language (English or Irish)
or
QQI Level 5Full award with a minimum of eight modules
or
Recognised Prior Learning (RPL)

This programme will be delivered online though our virtual learning environment.
Each 10-credit module normally equates to approximately 200 total learning hours. Total learning hours include the time spent in class, such as lectures, tutorials, and practical elements, as well as time spent working independently outside of college.
The balance between these varies by discipline and level of study, and learners should be aware that workload will increase at particular times, especially when assignments are due.
The programme is assessed through a combination of continuous assessments & exams.
