What can you do in TUS
There are several ways your company can become more visible to our students. This includes coming on to campus to either promote Work Placement and/or Graduate programmes or contribute to the skills of our students.
We have established strong links with companies and organisations who visit TUS to take part in a range of recruitment events throughout the academic year and warmly welcome enquiries from employers in all sectors.
Advertise an Opportunity
You can advertise part-time, summer, placement or graduate opportunities on either of our Careers Connect portals on the Athlone campus or our Midwest campuses. This will then be included in a weekly e-bulletin to relevant students and registered graduates.
Online Promotions
You are welcome to further advertise any opportunities or promote your organisation via our social media channels and our monthly newsletter. For our Midwest campuses simply forward any suitable content to careersandemployability.midwest@tus.ie. For our Athlone campus please visit Careers.Midlands.tus.ie
Careers Fairs
Our Careers Fairs provide an exciting opportunity to meet with our students and promote your graduate vacancies and internships. Careers Fairs on our Midwest campuses take place one per semester (Ocotber and February) while on our Athlone campus, the annual Careers Fair occurs every October.
Contact CareersandEmployability.Midwest@tus.ie or Careers.Midlands.tus.ie for further information or register your organisation on either of our Careers Connect portals to ensure you will be invited to the next event.
Campus Visits & Presentations
Employers are welcome to come to any campus and set up an “Information Stand” in a prominent location. This provides an opportunity to engage informally with students from all disciplines between classes or at lunchtime. This can be complimented by a company presentation to maximise student awareness and engagement.
Virtual Presentations
The Careers & Employability Office can facilitate a virtual presentation to a specific class or a more general information event at any time during the academic year. Please contact our Midwest campuses office by emailing careersandemployability.midwest@tus.ie or our Athlone campus office by visiting Careers.Midlands.tus.ie to orgainise a presentation.
Be a CV Reviewer/Mock Interviewer
Meet with students on a 1-1 basis through a CV review clinic and/or individual mock interviews. This provides an opportunity for employers to engage with smaller targeted groups of students while providing invaluable learning experiences for students.
Deliver Employability Workshops
Delivering skills/employability workshops (CV & interview preparation, teamworking skills, problem-solving) is an excellent way to connect students while supporting their development and future success. It is also an excellent way of boosting your profile on campus.
If you would like to raise your profile around any of our TUS campuses and take part in any of the above, please contact our Midwest campuses office by emailing careersandemployability.midwest@tus.ie or our Athlone campuse office by visiting Careers.Midlands.tus.ie.
