Disability Support FAQs

Yes, all of the same supports are available. The Disability Officer travels between campuses regularly.

The Thurles and Clonmel campuses also have a part-time Disability Learning Advisor.

Yes, all students with documented needs are eligible for supports, as appropriate. A recommendation from the appropriate professional is still needed, regardless of your entry route.

Please contact the Disability Officer at disability.midwest@tus.ie. We can then arrange a chat about your concerns over the phone or online through Microsoft Teams, or we can schedule a pre-entry consultation at any point during the year.

The Disability Officer will be happy to meet with you to determine appropriate exam supports. Please contact us via disability.midwest@tus.ie or on 061 293112.

It is important that your CAO Evidence of Disability form clearly indicates the need for support personnel. This form must be completed by the appropriate professional.

Please notify the disability office of your requirements as soon as possible via disability.midwest@tus.ie  or on 061 293112.

TUS accepts the same documentation required by the Disability Access Route to Education (DARE). Please see http://accesscollege.ie/dare/providing-evidence-of-your-disability/ for full details. Please note that this documentation will be accepted by TUS whether or not you apply to DARE.

Any student (full-time or part-time) who experiences a learning difference, disability or long-term medical condition is eligible for support. Exactly what these supports are will be determined during the needs assessment.
