Raphaela has significant executive and non-executive management and leadership experience in both the health and higher education sectors in Ireland and the UK.
As the first Chief Academic Officer in TUS, she has responsibility for the overall strategic leadership of the university’s academic units.
Originally a registered nurse, Raphaela holds a range of qualifications in healthcare, education, research and leadership.
Raphaela completed her PhD in DCU in 2011. She was conferred with a Professorship in the UK, in 2016, for her national and international contribution to healthcare and academic leadership.
Raphaela is a member of the Limerick Region Health Equity Board and the Implementation Advisory Group for the Economic Strategy for the Regional Centre of Athlone.
