The Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) is preparing to open the doors to the 2026 Limerick School of Art and Design (LSAD) Graduate Showcase this weekend.
As a special feature of this year’s show, Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) curators Sheena Barrett and Janice Hough have curated the Graduate Select Show, Future Perfect / An Fháistineach Fhoirfe.
The renowned end-of-year exhibition will officially open to the public this Saturday, May 30, at 1:00 PM at the LSAD Clare Street campus, with a special launch by Limerick’s award-winning author, documentary‐maker and podcaster Blindboyboatclub.

The spectacular show is free to attend and is a major highlight of the June Bank Holiday weekend in Limerick.
The exhibition is a vibrant celebration of the hardworking graduating classes across LSAD’s 20 BA and BSc Honours programmes — from Fine Art (painting, sculpture, print), Design (ceramics, fashion, interior design) and Digital Arts and Media (film, music production and sound engineering, animation and graphic design).
Future Perfect / An Fháistineach Fhoirfe is all about exposing processes and fresh ideas: from the hands-on craft of fashion and print to the immersive digital worlds of animation and graphic design, the showcase proves the incredible power of bringing different skills together to solve modern challenges.
Professor Anthony Caleshu, Dean of LSAD and Director of Creative Arts at TUS, praised the students and invited the city to join the celebrations: “This Saturday, our LSAD Clare Street campus brings together graduating students from across our campuses in Limerick, Athlone and Clonmel in a celebration of their final efforts in fine art, design, and digital and creative media. We can’t wait to welcome the public to see what these next-generation makers have created.
“Partnering with IMMA this year has been a real joy and adds yet another distinction to the LSAD Graduate Show. Curators Sheena Barrett and Janice Hough have selected over 20 students’ work from across all our disciplines to be featured in the Clare Street Gallery exhibition, Future Perfect / An Fháistineach Fhoirfe. We warmly invite families, locals, and industry professionals to come along, get inspired, and celebrate the incredible achievements of the class of 2026.”
Head of Research at Learning at IMMA, Sheena Barrett said: “The exhibition offers a snapshot of the immense talent and curiosity nurtured throughout the TUS campus. It invites the viewer to look beyond the “final” product and see instead a beginning, a moment of hope and a series of prophecies and possibilities for the futures we might make possible, together.”
LSAD Alumna and Curator with IMMA, Janice Hough said: “Having studied at LSAD many years ago, my time there coincided with the move to the Clare Street campus, a moment of change and exciting potential for the college. Returning for this project has highlighted how LSAD and TUS have grown and diversified over the years, with an impressive range of creative disciplines and voices. There is so much here to celebrate, be proud of, and look forward to.”
