Click HereTo equip learners with the talent management, leadership, and organisational psychology competencies needed to support informed decision-making in modern organisations, responding to demand for professionals who can integrate talent management, leadership, and organisational psychology practices in both public and private sector contexts. The programme develops strategic talent leadership, global talent management, organisational psychology, ethical judgement, and evidence-based change practice.
Global Talent Management
The purpose of this module is to facilitate the students in developing a critical view of Global Talent Management in the context of modern society and management practice across industrial, commercial and service organisations. The module explores the changing nature of work, working lives and employment relationships, and evaluates the contribution of Global Talent Management and its practices to organisational effectiveness. This module is concerned with the practice of Global Talent Management in an international managerial context.
Leadership, Change and Organisational Psychology
This module will introduce some key models for understanding organisational behaviour; it will consider important dimensions of how people make sense of themselves and their ‘fit’ within work groups, in particular jobs, and, to the organisation itself. The module will explore real world implications of ‘fit’ for career decision-making, workplace socialisation, workplace teams etc.; and finally, the module will address issues of workplace stress and instances of deviance at work. The aim of this module is to develop the student’s ability to assess the functioning of an organisation in order to diagnose, manage and lead change. The module aims to build participant understanding so that they will be able to accurately diagnose organisational issues using different methods and phases of organisational diagnosis. It will also use an evidence-based change perspective to effectively map and model the implementation of successful change initiatives.
