Aircraft Engine Management provides personnel with an existing knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Aeronautical Engineering, a fundamental comprehension of Aircraft Engine Management. It will provide students with an opportunity to develop an in-depth knowledge of the current commercial aircraft engine market, including the associated engine management processes which covers the complete engine life cycle.
Aircraft Engine Management is a 10 ECTS Special Purpose Award at L7 and has been designed and developed in collaboration with our industry partners, AAV Aviation Services Training and CAE Parc Aviation in response to a demand to fill skills gaps and personnel in this area. Developed by industry professionals with years of experience, Aircraft Engine Management L7 is a direct way to benefit from their extensive knowledge to enhance your professional learning.
Aircraft Engine Management (10 ECTS)
The aim of Certificate in Aircraft Engine Management is to give those personnel with an existing knowledge of aircraft maintenance or with a theoretical background in Aeronautical Engineering or Aviation Engineering, a fundamental knowledge of Aircraft Engine Management. It will provide students with an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the commercial aircraft engine market, including the associated engine management processes covering the full engine life cycle.

Relevant Level 6 qualification or equivalent. Aircraft Maintenance Licence, Relevant industry qualification/experience

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may be granted based on relevant experience and training in accordance with TUS’s RPL Policy.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE: Applicants who do not have English as their first language must ensure they satisfy English Language requirements. For entry to undergraduate courses, a score of 5.5 in an IELTS or equivalent exam is required. For postgraduate courses, a score of 6.0 in an IELTS or equivalent exam is required. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure their English proficiency meets these requirements.
The programme will run for 10 weeks in an online learning format, 1 evening per week, 3 hours per evening as follows;
Tuesdays from 6-9pm
Start Date
There will be an online welcome session for all students on 9th September 2026.
Online classes will commence on Tuesday 15th September 2026.
Location
All classes will be delivered fully online.
The proposed delivery schedule is subject to change.
Each 5 credits will normally equate to approximately 100 Total Learning Hours. Total Learning Hours includes the time you spend in class (lectures, tutorials, practical elements) and the time you spend completing work outside of college. The balance between these two varies by discipline, and by level of study. You should bear in mind that the workload will increase at particular times e.g. when assignments are due.
Continuous Assessment (100% online) including short question papers, quizzes and essay papers and project tasks.
Certificate in Aircraft Engine Management (Special Purpose Award, Level 7, 10 ECTS)
The full programme fee is €1,550
This programme has secured funding under the Aviation Skillnet. Eligible companies and individuals can secure a contribution of 25% towards course fees.
