Bill Casey

Research Officer

Bill Casey holds a BSc. in Agricultural Science and a MSc in Agri-Food Sustainability and Technology from the University of Galway. He is currently a Research Officer at TUS, supporting small and medium-sized farmers in County Offaly to adapt to challenges arising from the Just Transition. His work focuses on identifying farmer needs, delivering workshops, and connecting participants with practical training and sustainability initiatives to enhance farm viability and resilience.

Bill has experience in designing and implementing surveys, facilitating farmer engagement, and translating technical research into accessible, practical guidance. His academic and professional interests include regenerative agriculture, climate action in farming systems, and sustainable land management. He is particularly interested in supporting smaller farmers to strengthen the environmental, social, and economic sustainability of their enterprises, helping them adopt practical solutions that improve farm resilience, enhance community well-being, and contribute to Ireland’s broader agricultural and climate goals.
