James is responsible for the academic leadership, governance and management of the departments and units under the faculty.
He previously served as Head of Department of Marketing, Enterprise and Digital Communications for seven years.
He has lectured and researched in a number of higher education institutions including the University of Limerick, Tipperary Institute, Limerick Institute of Technology, the Atlantic University Alliance and TUS.
James’s PhD research focused on internet adoption and implementation experiences within Irish SMEs and, back in the 1990s, he set up his own fine art-based tech start-up.
He is a Principal Investigator in the Centre for Creativity, Enterprise, Innovation and Digital Engagement (CEIDE), which he helped to establish in 2012. James continues to publish and present internationally in a wide range of academic fields.
