Sona Sojy, Scientist I, Thermo Fisher Scientific

I had the privilege of studying at Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) during the academic year 2023–2024, where I pursued my MSc in Pharmaceutical and Chemical Analysis.  My experience at TUS was incredibly enriching, both academically and personally.  The programme was thoughtfully designed and delivered by highly experienced faculty members, many of whom brought valuable industry insights into the classroom.  Their guidance greatly contributed to my academic and professional development.  One of the standout features of the programme was the instrumentation laboratory, which gave me hands-on experience with a wide range of analytical techniques, including HPLC, GC and FTIR – essential analytical techniques used widely in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries today.  This practical training played a key role in building my confidence and skill set.  I am delighted to share that I have secured a position as a Scientist I at PPD, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific in Ireland, through campus placement.  I truly believe that the training and support I received at TUS played a pivotal role in helping me achieve this milestone.  To all science graduates considering a future in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, I wholeheartedly recommend this MSc programme in Pharmaceutical and Chemical Analysis at TUS.  It has the potential to open new avenues in your career and equip you with the knowledge and experience needed to succeed.
