Steve O’Donohue

Sustainable Development Research Institute (SDRI)

Steve has worked in the local development sector for over 15 years, primarily with Offaly Local Development Company. He has facilitated and supported rural community groups in developing their local areas, working on initiatives that address a wide range of rural development topics, including social inclusion, youth development, training programmes as well as local environmental, heritage and biodiversity projects.

While working as a project officer on the LEADER Rural Development Programme he supported the development of both local, interterritorial and transnational projects, guiding community organisations and businesses through the process, while ensuring adherence to programme guidelines.

Steve holds a Masters Degree in Rural Development from University College Dublin and a Post Graduate Certificate in Innovation and Enterprise Development from Trinity College Dublin.
