Mark Kelly

Mark is a data scientist and part-time farmer with a BSc in Computer Science. He has 12 years of experience working in big data and fintech startups in Ireland. While living in Australia, he worked on large dairy farms in Victoria and New South Wales.
In 2024, Mark completed a Master’s in Renewable Energy Systems at Dundalk Institute of Technology, where he was awarded the President’s Award for Academia. His thesis, The Food-Energy Return on Energy Investment of an Irish Beef Farm: Strategies to Reduce Fossil Fuel Dependence and Emissions in a Renewable Future, explored pathways to replacing fossil fuels in agriculture.
Mark has a deep interest in energy, climate change, ecology, horticulture, sustainable technology, AI, and the renovation of historic buildings.
