I am passionate about bringing diverse groups together and have a strong track record in organising and curating events that connect people from different disciplines and cultural backgrounds. My work focuses on building communities and ensuring their lasting impact. I create innovative approaches in writing, curation, and socially engaged projects that blend philosophy, literature, science, agriculture, design, and visual arts. My research aims to integrate diverse viewpoints to deepen how society connects with places, especially in the face of climate change. I bridge the gap between rural and urban artists whilst highlighting the ecological challenges of rural communities. Drawing from environmental humanities, eco-philosophies, and new materialism, I use art as a tool to inspire action and rethink our relationship with the environment. I have guided research students at Master’s and Doctorate levels, inspired by thinkers like Bruno Latour, Jane Bennett, and Donna Haraway. As Head of the Fine Art and Education Department at the Limerick School of Art & Design, Technological University of the Shannon, I lead a collaborative team dedicated to finding creative solutions, producing impactful work, and improving engagement with students, staff, and the public of Limerick and beyond.
