Driving – Clonmel Campus

TUS Clonmel Campus is easily accessible by car, located just minutes from Clonmel town centre and well connected to regional and national road networks.

Parking on Campus

Parking is free at TUS Clonmel Campus, with ample spaces available for both staff and students. Please only park in officially marked spaces and avoid blocking entrances, walkways, or emergency access points.

Getting Here by Road

Clonmel is located on the N24, the national primary roadway linking the cities of Limerick and Waterford.

  • Westbound, the N24 connects Clonmel to Junction 10 off the Cork–Dublin Motorway (M8).
  • Eastbound, it links the town to Kilkenny via the N76.

Airport Connections

  • Shannon International Airport – approximately 1 hour 20 minutes by car.
  • Dublin Airport – approximately 2 hours 10 minutes by car.
Both airports have bus and train connections to Limerick and Dublin city centres, with further rail and bus links across the country.

Driving Responsibly

At TUS, we encourage all drivers to make safe, respectful, and environmentally conscious choices when travelling to and from campus:

  • Respect speed limits both on campus and on surrounding roads.
  • Be mindful of pedestrians and cyclists, giving them space and priority at crossings.
  • Avoid unnecessary idling – switch off your engine if you’re waiting for more than a minute.
  • Park only in designated spaces and never block emergency access points.
  • Consider carpooling with classmates or colleagues to reduce congestion and emissions.

By driving responsibly, you help keep our campus safe, reduce pollution, and maintain positive relationships with the local community.
