MA in Social Work Application Process

Complete your application by filling out the below fields, ensuring you attach your Level 8-degree transcripts and Personal Statement. Your Personal Statement is a key component of the application process and will be evaluated as part of the selection criteria during the interview day.
Upon submitting your application, you will receive an email from TUS acknowledging receipt. This email will include two reference forms – Academic Reference and Employment Reference – that must be completed and submitted before the interview day. Additionally, the email will provide a link for the payment of the application fee.

English Language Proficiency: Applicants whose first language is not English and who have not been educated through English must provide certified evidence of English language proficiency. A minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or an equivalent qualification is required to be submitted to socialwork.midwest@tus.ie.
Closing date for domestic applications is 16^th March 2026.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview at the Moylish campus on Wednesday 22nd April 2026. Please note that this will be a full-day selection process, comprising group work, a written component, and an individual interview.
International applicants can apply through the Global Office. Closing date for international application is Friday 19th December 2025. Shortlisted international applicants will be invited to attend an online interview on 7th January 2026. International enquiries can be emailed to Global@tus.ie.
