Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) celebrated the newest graduates of its prestigious Associate Diploma in People Management at its Athlone Campus this week.
The graduation ceremony marks a significant milestone in the academic and professional journey of the class of 2022/23.
“We are immensely proud of our graduates and their accomplishments,” remarked Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business and Hospitality Dr Michael Tobin. “Their successful completion of the Associate Diploma in People Management is a testament to their dedication and determination, and we look forward to seeing them progress and flourish in their future careers.”
Vice Chair of the CIPD Midlands Region Caroline Macklin also extended heartfelt congratulations to the graduates of the Associate Diploma in People Management.
She remarked that as these individuals progress on their professional journeys, they have the potential to make meaningful contributions to effective people management within their workplaces.
The Associate Diploma in People Management, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), is designed to equip students with a combination of theory and practice relevant to a wide range of roles in the field of human resource management.
Reflecting an established and successful relationship with the CIPD, Dr Alison Sheridan, Head of Department of Business and Management, stated, “We are proud to have extended our professional HR programme offerings with the recent introduction of a Bachelor of Arts in HRM (part-time) and an MSc in Strategic HRM (part-time).
Both recently introduced programmes offer the additional benefit of satisfying the professional accreditation requirements of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Overall, the increased range of programmes offered on a part-time, blended basis by the Faculty of Business and Hospitality in TUS Athlone Campus is intended to further respond to identified skills needs in the Midlands region.
