Jim Gilchrist is a Lecturer in Packaging, Innovation and Product Design in the Lifelong Learning Department here in TUS. He also lectures on the Department’s Business and Management Programmes and is a supervisor on the MBA, Masters and Postgraduate programmes. Jim has an MSc in Innovation and Product Development and has 20+ years industry experience. Jim also delivers bespoke management training courses in industry on behalf of the Faculty of Continuous, Professional, Online and Distance Learning. He is lead lecturer on the Learning in the Hubs initiative a collaboration between Connected Hubs and TUS which brings third-level education to communities all over Ireland through the National Hub Network. He has a keen interest in Programme Development and Innovation in Assessment Strategies, which has led him to speak at a number of international conferences on Work based Learning and its “Worth” to all stakeholders. Jim is also a member of the European Network for Academic Integrity.
