Why did you choose your course?

I have always had a strong interest in medicine and science, especially areas like biology, microbiology, and anatomy. Medical Technology course at TUS really appealed to me because it combined these medical subjects. It felt like the perfect mix of everything I was passionate about.

What do you like most about your course?

What I enjoyed most was the wide variety of science subjects. While I expected to enjoy the biological modules, I was surprised by how much I liked learning about completely new areas like programming. The course really challenged me in the best way, and it opened my mind to parts of science I would have never considered before.

Apart from your course, what do you like most about TUS?

TUS has such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, It is a comfortable place to study, with great facilities and supportive staff. It really felt like a community, which made my time there enjoyable.

How has your degree helped you in your career?

My degree has opened the door to many areas within science and the option to pursue a master’s degree. It also helped me realise my main interests lie in medical science, and now I am working in the department of serology with an aim to consider further study such as a medical science conversion course or a PhD in the future.

What advice would you give someone considering studying this course?

Do not be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone! This course offers a bit of everything, and you might discover new interests in areas you never thought you would enjoy, like I did with programming. It is a brilliant course if you are interested in medical, scientific and technical topics, and it opens a lot of different career paths.
