Name: Michelle Lynam
Course: BSc (Hons) Bioveterinary Science
My name is Michelle Lynam and I returned to TUS as a mature student in 2019 to study Bioveterinary science as I wanted a career in the animal science industry.
Going back as a mature student I was extremely nervous as I hadn’t been in education for four years, I explained this to my lecturers and the level of guidance and support they provided is what made my experience at TUS so positive. The lecturers are committed mentors as well as specialists in their respective disciplines and their quality of teaching was exceptional.
Skills I have secured from this course include scientific writing, extensive laboratory experience, ability to follow SOPS, and problem solving. With the knowledge and skills gained it has led me to a career working in a disease lab as a PCR and ELISA laboratory analyst.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is looking for a career in animal science, the course provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to progress in the industry.
