Description: I graduated from TUS in 2021 with a Bachelor of Business. In 3rd year I got the opportunity to do 6 months’ work placement and I was lucky enough to work in the Finance department of what was then called AIT, this work experience helped guide me in the direction of what career I would be most interested in. When I graduated I was still slightly unsure what direction I wanted to go in so I took a year to work in the Lifelong Learning Department in TUS Midlands. This provided me with numerous new skills and qualities, I knew that I wanted to challenge myself more and applied for Grant Thornton’s audit and assurance graduate programme. As a result, of the degree I graduated with, I was quickly accepted onto the graduate programme as they commended the experience and knowledge that I had gained from my degree and work placement. As it stands, I have completed my Cap 1 ACA exams and have 2 years left before I am a qualified ACA accountant. I cannot thank TUS enough for both the opportunities and the experience that was provided for me throughout my four years.
