The Bioanalytical Methods with Toxicology module provides students the opportunity to gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the importance of bioanalytical techniques to the drug discovery and development process, in addition to method and product validation. Students also gain a comprehensive understanding of the cell and molecular mechanisms underlying pharmaceutical/drug-induced toxicity and the skill set to design and implement a battery of toxicity assays for hazard identification and risk assessment. Toxicology studies are a central, regulatory-required, component of the drug development process.
