Dr Stefano Odorico is a lecturer, curator, and filmmaker currently teaching in the Film and Creative Broadcast Programme at the Technological University of the Shannon (Ireland). His work operates at the intersection of film theory and creative practice, with a particular focus on documentary studies, interactive media, and emerging forms of non-fiction storytelling.
He is co-organiser and a member of the editorial board of the Interactive Film and Media Network and Conference (IFM), fostering international dialogue on innovative screen practices. He is also co-founder and consultative board member of Alphaville: Journal of Film and Screen Media and Visiting Research Fellow at Leeds Trinity University (UK).
He is co-convener of the Polyphonic Documentary project, an initiative dedicated to exploring multi-voiced, dialogical and collaborative approaches to non-fiction media. Alongside his academic publications on film and media theory, documentary practice, and interactive documentary, he actively produces films and digital media projects that bridge research and creative production, advancing both critical inquiry and innovative audio-visual practice.
