Sherifat Ukachukwu is a qualified nurse with a Bachelor of Nursing Science and extensive experience in clinical practice and healthcare education. She is a Registered Nurse in both Ireland and Nigeria, as well as a Registered Midwife and Public Health Nurse in Nigeria. She recently completed a Masters degree in Nursing in Leadership and Quality Healthcare and holds a certification in advanced clinical audit.

Sherifat began her nursing career in Nigeria in 2010, gaining experience in neonatal and radiology nursing, as well as nursing administration. While working in the nursing administration department in Nigeria, she was actively involved in planning and facilitating clinical placements for students, contributing to the practical education and training of future nurses. Her commitment to improving patient care led her to participate in various quality improvement initiatives and innovations.

Since moving to Ireland in 2018, Sherifat has continued her work as a neonatal nurse and contributed to numerous quality improvement projects. As the Research and Education Director for the Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives in Ireland, she has supported professional development within the nursing community. Sherifat’s dedication to nursing and quality healthcare has significantly impacted the profession in both Nigeria and Ireland.
