Mike is an accomplished musician, producer, and sound engineer with nearly two decades of experience. With expertise extending to both studio production and live events, his varied credits include names such as Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), Grant Hart (Hüsker Dü), The Cranberries, Dylan Flynn & The Dead Poets, Japanese Jesus, and PowPig. His work in these domains, as well as being a former member of the Choice Music Prize-nominated band windings (2010 to 2022) have seen Mike be heavily involved in the Irish Music Industry.
His current research interests include popular music pedagogy, collaboration in music production and live event environments, and the use of network technology for real-time remote collaboration and teaching of music production & technology.
