Lisa began her lecturing and research career with roles at the University of Galway, Teagasc and Edge Hill University (UK), where she was a Senior Lecturer, and at South East Technological University (SETU), where she was a Head of Department.
Lisa is an active researcher and has published extensively.
She has led and co-led international research teams on projects relating to emotions, the senses, Covid-19, the sociology of work and AI. She presents regularly at international conferences and is an expert on qualitative and psychodynamic research approaches.
Lisa’s academic credentials include a BA in Sociology, Politics and English from the University of Galway, an MA in European Integration from the University of Limerick and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Galway.
