Kelly Gallagher is a Hospitality Management Graduate of Athlone IT and has a MSc in Hospitality Management from TU Dublin, a Diploma in Business Studies in Hotel and Catering Management, a Certificate in Business Studies in Hotel and Catering Supervision, a National Tourism Certificate Board (NTCB) in Professional Cookery, a post graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning from TU Dublin and a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning from the National College University Maynooth.
Kelly has over 19 years’ experience lecturing at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS-Athlone Campus) specializing in Food Production, Pastry, Baking and Desserts, Menu Planning and Nutrition, Food Service, Gastronomy, Customer Service Business and Management, Beverage Skills, and Learning and Development for Higher Education (LDHE).
Kelly has participated in a lecturer development scheme with Failte Ireland in the Johnson and Wales University, USA and at L’ecole Gregoire Ferrandi, Paris. Kelly lectured students at Chaohu University in the Anhui Province of China.
Kelly’s interests are in locally produced and sustainable food and drink and runs the very successful Taste of TUS’ event in the HTL department in TUS Athlone since 2022, where food and drink producers from the Athlone region showcased their offerings.
