Jennifer O’Brien

Part-Time Lecturer

Jennifer O’Brien an extensive background in community engagement and community development work across the midwest and with a national community integration project. She is Community Development Manager with Sanctuary Runners and has experience in public sector, NGO and community organisations. Jennifer has worked on projects from concept stage through to final delivery, with a focus on delivery through collaborative partnerships.

Prior to TUS and Sanctuary Runners, Jennifer has worked on the delivery of the Rural Development Strategy in Clare County Council and the establishment and development of Southill Area Centre, now Southill Hub. She currently serves as a voluntary director of Limerick City CDP and as the independent chair of Southill Regeneration Committee. Her interests are in community development, empowerment of marginalised communities and new approaches to integration in a changing Ireland.
