Joined TUS Midlands Midwest in 2022 as an Assistant Lecturer in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Holds a BSc in Chemistry and PhD in Organic Chemistry from University College Cork. Spent several years as a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in UCC synthesizing compounds that inhibit HIV. More recently, employed as a Research Fellow in Medicinal Chemistry on the BREATH project in DkIT, investigating causes and novel treatments of COPD. Research interests include peptide synthesis and the development of small molecule modulators of ion channels.
