Dr Miriam OConnor, Coordinator of the Academic Writing Centre – Midlands.
Miriam’s role is to help students, to improve and achieve with confidence all areas of academic writing. A graduate of DCU she received her doctorate from the Institute of Education. She has worked for many years in TUS – Midlands, in the Department of Science and Healthcare as a lecturer and programme/placement coordinator for the Dental Nursing Programmes.
Her current role within the Academic Writing Centre will allow her to connect with staff and students through workshops, lecturers and one-to-one meetings, guiding and supporting students in the area of academic writing, referencing and presentation.
