I am a sociologist in the Department of Applied Social Sciences, TUS, Limerick. I teach on the Social Care Work and the master’s in social work programmes.
My current research interests include:
- Applied Sociology for Professional Training, particularly social care work and social work;
- Urban sociology, social class, housing, and homelessness;
- Creative Methodologies
I also supervise post graduate research, and recently had students graduate having researched topics such as educational disadvantage, urban poverty, homelessness services, pedagogy, and services for ex-prisoners.
I am very happy to speak with any perspective graduate students about research ideas or proposals.
