Dr Kelly Maguire is a Lecturer in Tourism and Events Management in the Department of Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure Studies, TUS Athlone Campus. She undertakes conceptual and applied research relating to the sustainable planning and management of destinations and events. Kelly supervises research at Masters and Doctoral level and is supervising four PhD projects at present. She actively publishes research and reviews article for a number of established journal publications. She is the co-editor of ‘A Research Agenda for Event Impacts’ (Edward Elgar Publishing, 2022) and ‘Places, Practices and (soft) Power’ (Sage Journals, 2019).
