Cathy Jones is a psychology lecturer and a Chartered Psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland. She is currently working on her PhD at Manchester Metropolitan University – ‘Exploring Well-being within an Irish Prison in development’. She is very interested in using qualitative approaches to capture the richness and depth of people’s stories and experiences.
In the PhD study, she is capturing the experiences of men and women living and working within the prison context, paying particular emphasis on issues of access into the prison and co-participatory research.
Previous and continued research interests in areas of Leadership and Culture in human service organisations, the ontology, causality and behavioural supports within familial and residential contexts and the experiences for staff and families using Positive Behaviour Support.
